Type of opportunity:

Sale (Standard), Business Partnership. More info: Family farm for two people including crops, chickens and perhaps goats. We are interested in our own production, or in conjunction with a farmer interested in a small production in exchange for produce. A goal is to keep current farm land in agriculture using sustainable practices. We would like to build a small home on the property. Total acreage could be more than 5, if the parcel is larger, but all we need for us is 3-5.

Equipment & infrastructure:

Barn, Fencing, Well / Pond / Other water source, Greenhouse, Farm equipment, Processing facilities. More info: The checked items are preferred but not deal-breakers if unavailable.

Current production on farm:

Fallow, Hay or pasture, Herbs, Orchard, Vegetable production. More info: We are interested in producing vegetables, herbs and fruit for personal consumption. We'd also like to have chickens, both broilers and layers, again for personal consumption. Land currently under production for, or capable of production in these areas is preferable

Current farming practices:

Certified organic, Transitioning to organic, Ecological production but not certified. More info: Organic, or ecological production, is preferred. If not currently under ecological production, we would work to return it to that state.

More info: I've been a home gardener for years. I have no trained experience save that gleaned from living around farmers during the five years we lived in France.

If we collaborated with another farmer, what we don't use could be sold, given to food banks, etc. Chickens, both layers and broilers, would be for personal use. Land outside the gardens could be hayed and/or left fallow, according to what would be best for the land.
