Academic degree in agriculture or related field. More info: I attended Appalachian State University where I earned a degree in sustainable development with a focus on agroecology. While attending here I became very interested in the need and importance of local foods. I volunteered and worked at several farms, as well as attending classes that involved supporting the schools teaching and research farm. I would like 2017 to be the year that I obtain a 1 acre lease and start my farm with a market garden.
