Type of opportunity:

Sale (Standard), Sale (Owner Financed), Lease (1 to 5 Years), Lease (5+ Years), Lease with Option to Buy, Internship / Mentorship, Incubator / Mentored Lease, Business Partnership, Employment, Employment with Transfer. More info: We are a family of 5 looking to lease or rent farm land in nc. My husband is a prior marine now truck driver but it's really his dream to live off the land and be self sufficient. We have 3 children that we think would benefit to live more with less modern conveniences and be more in tune with nature. My mother's family had a 100 acre farm in full operation for over 40 years but after my grandfather's passing it was sold to help take care of my dementiated grandmother. So I'm familiar with farming and how it's ran. However I've never ran a farm myself. We are very hard working and willing to learn. Especially if my husband could make a profit to come off the road and work eith us too.

Equipment & infrastructure:

Barn, Fencing, Well / Pond / Other water source, Greenhouse, Livestock facilities, Farmer housing, Farm equipment, Processing facilities, Irrigation equipment, Cold storage (cooler/freezer). More info: My husband ran heavy equipment in the military and also helped out on farms as a teen so he knows how to drive tractors, back hoes, excavators etc...

Current production on farm:

Vegetable production, Woodlot or forest products. More info: We have some experience of farm animals but not enough to take on by ourselves. However we are eager to learn if the land owner would teach us. Same as with crops larger then gardens.
