Initially, the goal would be to sustain the people living on the property including energy, income, and food.

Personal experience and production goals summary:

I am a certified Permaculture Designer and I have a great interest in living and working close to the land. Currently I am working in Asheville as an engineer. My desire is to own the land that I am developing a farm on. I see huge value in having a local farmer who knows the area, the land, the history, and the neighbors as a resource.
