I am married and my wife and I would like to find a small piece of land we can tend and build a small operation on. We have good jobs and credit, and have most of what we need. I don't mind putting my own money into infrastructure, and or repairs to infrastructure if there are long term options. We are easy going and honest.

Equipment & infrastructure:

Barn, Fencing, Well / Pond / Other water source, Livestock facilities, Farmer housing, Farm equipment. More info: I have my own equipment, shed/barn would be nice but not necessary with long term leasing or purchase opportunity.

Current production on farm:

Cattle (Dairy/Beef), Field crops, Hay or pasture, Sheep/Goat (Dairy/Meat), Vegetable production.

Current farming practices:

Conventional, Transitioning to organic, None, the property is not being farmed.

Qualifications and goals:

Previous farming experience:

Volunteer, Manager

Number of years experience:

8

Other qualifications:

Farm business training.

Production goals:

Cattle (Dairy/Beef), Field crops, Vegetable production. More info: Summer time produce, and possibly small beef operation.

Personal experience and production goals summary:

I have raised livestock and managed a livestock operation of over 90 head of black angus cattle.

I also operated a small produce operation and have my own equipment.  It is important to me to operate a sustainable operation...giving back to the land. So many out there, often take from the land, never giving back...I want a profitable operation, but conservation is equally as important.
