Equipment & infrastructure - more info

There are 3 barns and a workshop. All have water and electric. The workshop is set up with a farm office for business and is wired for internet and telephone. The garden areas are fenced. There are (3) 5000 gallon EPA approved cisterns catching rainwater off of 2 barns and the workshop which provide back up water during short term droughts. I have a BCS walk behind tractor, a DR walk behind bush hog and a couple of lawn mowers that I could sell or lease to the farmer. I have 3 housing units available: 1) 1624SF house with 3 bedrooms and 2 bath and a full basement which would serve well as a fermenting space for value added products. The house has hard wood floors throughout. 2) A lovely small home of 727SF with one bedroom and one bath and living room and office/bedroom with a front and side porch. 3) A dairy milking parlor (rehabbed into living space) 1,282SF. The kitchen has been used as community kitchen and the back used as meeting space. It contains a loft for a queen size bed.

I would very much love to see this farm stay in farm production. My intention is to lease for 3-5 but I do not have to remain the owner of this farmland. The lease would allow us to determine whether or not we want to continue toward transfer of ownership. This land has incredible opportunity for a market garden as the soil on 3 of the acres is very fertile. There is also opportunity with additional capital to create an orchard and small fruit production.
