I am looking to start a 1/2 acre to 1 acre flower farm where I will grow both annual and perennial cut flowers like roses, peonies, flowering trees and woody shrubs.
I have operated my business, Plein Air Flowers, as a side-hustle for the past five years and have sold cut-flower bouquets at a pop-up flower stand and provided floral design services for weddings and events.
Currently, I work full-time managing a greenhouse, garden, flowers in the landscpaing, decorative pots and a flock of chickens for a private family estate. I also have several years of experience as the Assistant Farm Manager for a 1/2 acre urban non-profit farm that grew and sold vegetables. I have also gardened/farmed in a variety of urban settings from rooftop gardens to a 13 acre organic vegetable farm.
