Cattle (Dairy/Beef), Hay or pasture. More info: I graze cattle, both mother cows and weaned feeder animals. I do not make my own hay, but would fence in hay fields to turn into pasture if a landowner was open to that idea.

Biodynamic, Conventional. More info: I try to use livestock to improve soil health as much as possible, while limiting use of fertilizers and herbicides.

Production goals:

Cattle (Dairy/Beef). More info: I am interested in growing quality pasture forages, and using beef cattle to harvest these forages. In my current operation, I am focused on growing quality pasture and using excellent grazing management in order to achieve profitability from the land I operate on. I am looking for anywhere from 20 to 500 acres to lease for cattle grazing, in order to expand my herd and increase my net farm income. I would like the opportunity to improve your land through the use of good grazing management.

Personal experience and production goals summary:

I have many years of personal experience tending to my own beef cattle and managing pastures. I have been working around cattle regualry since I was 10 years old, and I have owned my own herd of cattle since age 15. I hold a B.S. in Agricultural Business Management from NC State. In the last three to four years, I have intensively studied forages and grazing management, and have successfully implemented my research findings in my own operation. I am firmly committed to using livestock grazing to rejuvenate soils and create healthy ecosystems. I am seeking pasture or open, idle land available for lease in the Piedmont region of North Carolina. I have existing farm operations in Cabarrus and Davidson counties, so these counties and those surrounding them would be my first preference, however I am open to any opportunities available.
