I worked as an apprentice at a 10 acre organic vegetable farm with a 200 member CSA and 3 farmers markets in the Chicago metro area. After that I went on to manage a small diversified organic farm in Downeast Maine for 4 seasons that worked vegetable production, slow flowers, value added products, as well as a small CSA (30 families), 2 farmers markets and restaurant accounts. In addition to that, we had a christmas wreath business that we marketed along with other christmas products and we produced meat on a small scale, mostly for the homestead consumption and education of our apprentices.
Julien has experience as a farm apprentice as well as in the construction and carpentry trades, having worked with diverse outfits.
