Looking for the following:

Type of opportunity:

Sale (Standard), Sale (Owner Financed), Lease (1 to 5 Years), Lease (5+ Years), Lease with Option to Buy, Business Partnership, Employment with Transfer. More info: We are a beginning beef cattle producer who aims to raise grass-fed beef from birth to slaughter. We need at least 10 acres of pasture to begin. We are most interested in land that is located in Northern Yancey County or Mitchell county near Red Hill/Buladean areas. We are responsible farmers who will only be raising exceptional quality animals and keeping utmost care of the pasture they are kept on. Animal health and welfare are our top priority and in order to achieve our goals we must sustainably pasture them on excellent quality pasture.

Equipment & infrastructure:

Barn, Fencing, Well / Pond / Other water source, Livestock facilities. More info: We will require fencing of pasture and will maintain while in use. Water sources are also a must. A barn, farmer housing and facilities would be an excellent bonus but we will consider properties that do not have them available.

Current production on farm:

Cattle (Dairy/Beef), Hay or pasture. More info: Beef cattle

Current farming practices:

Conventional, Ecological production but not certified. More info: We are looking into becoming certified grass-fed and all our meat will be USDA inspected.

Cattle (Dairy/Beef). More info: We aim to produce at least ten whole processed and packaged beef per year when starting. We will sell by the package at local farmers markets, direct from the farm and also in bulk to restaurants or local families.
