More info: I am looking to cultivate a community farm , that integrates healing , creativity and connection with the earth , the body and life . I grew up on a small farm in Maine and have started community farms across the country . I'm looking for a sweet spot to root down , dig in , and create a sustainable , flourishing farm , respecting and integrating old farming practices and implementing newer frontiers within sustainability , homesteading , healing modalities /workshops while also growing community .

Equipment & infrastructure:

Barn, Well / Pond / Other water source, Greenhouse, Cold storage (cooler/freezer). More info: Barns and outbuildings are a Huge plus !

Farm business training, Higher education in agriculture or related field. More info: I'm also a bodywork therapist and have some experience in Equine Therapy which I would love to integrate into the farm. As mentioned before, I grew up on a farm - with sheep, pigs, chickens, a huge vegetable garden, bunnies, rescue goat and rescue horse. I also grew up in my dad's friend's hayfield, helping with hay (something I Love). Also learned to milk goats in Espanola, New Mexico and started little community farms in Albuquerque, backyards in Asheville, and along the northeast coast. I've worked on an old family farm for many years, big in production, which I'm not necessarily looking to do again, as I want to integrate several specifics, and cultivate a dynamic farm.

Production goals:

Field crops, Flowers, Hay or pasture, Herbs, Orchard, Sheep/Goat (Dairy/Meat), Vegetable production, Woodlot or forest products.

Personal experience and production goals summary:

I am looking to create a dynamic and community focused farm. Integrating all I've learned for the past 17 or so years , along with new things learned . I envision a farm stand cafe, a space for workshops and groups , a pick your own flower field and herb garden. Vegetable growing and harvesting, community potlucks that draw in nutritional aspects of the food grown on the farm, educational classes as well as bodywork and possibly Equine Therapy , homesteading practices.
