More info: Hello, I am a lifelong farmer who values regenerative practices. I am relocating to the Raleigh, NC area to be married in 2020. My passion is grass-based beef and poultry production. I am experienced with utilizing cover crops for soil health improvement and providing high quality forage for animals to graze. I am looking for an opportunity to lease land in the Raleigh surrounding area. It can be a turnkey operation, or just land that needs infrastructure to be built.
Equipment & infrastructure:
Fencing, Well / Pond / Other water source, Livestock facilities.
More info: I have extensive high tensile fence installing experience, and livestock water installation experience. Typical infrastructure to handle livestock would be convenient, however, I am capable of installing these items.

Cattle (Dairy/Beef), Hay or pasture, Poultry (Broiler/Layer).
More info: My primary enterprise is grasped beef production. I also enjoy raising pastured poultry. To provide the best feed for my animals, and to improve soil health and production, I plant complex cover crop cocktail mixes.

More info: I value a regenerative agricultural approach to my endeavors. I test the soil and take steps improve it both in nutrient availability, but also biological activity. I believe healthy soils make healthy plants, that feed healthy animals, that can in turn provide healthy food for people.

More info: I have lived and worked on a farm my entire life. I have managed and operated our family farm since 2003. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin - River Falls with a B.S. Animal Science - Meat Animal, with an emphasis in beef production. I also have 8 years experience as a local butcher; slaughtering and processing cattle, hogs, and sheep. I have butchered my own chickens. I have collaborated with the University of Minnesota Ag Extension and SARE in cover crop trials.

My life has been spent working the land by tending livestock. I believe in leaving something better than when I first encountered it. I am looking for a new begining in agriculture as I begin my new life with my wife in the Raleigh area.
