Personal experience and production goals summary:

Throughout my journey in farming, I have learned and performed every variety of farm tasks from preparation of soil, planting, fertilization and harvesting, as well as many animal husbandry tasks; feeding, mucking stalls, giving medication, repairing fences,.I have a lot of experience in land management/ maintenance, seeding, cutting and maintaining grass and pasture, pruning, spreading mulch, cutting trees. I have also done a fair share of irrigation design and installation, as well and design and build out of various, sheds, greenhouses, livestock shelters, post harvest handling stations and other farm infrastructure.

I have worked for many long standing organic vegetable operations and have managed all aspects of production. From planning, developing and implementing annual crop plan, working with farm owners and various farm managers to develop a structured plan for the farm including enterprise budgets and evaluations. Operating and maintaining farm equipment and building farm infrastructure. Interviewing, screening, hiring part time help and soliciting volunteers. I’m also trained in designing and implementing nutrient and pest management programs.

I have spent many years planting, harvesting, processing, packaging, and  marketing (selling produce directly to the public and developing relationships with wholesale buyers)

I’m a very well rounded candidate and have done it all!

I work very closely with my partner Samantha, who has also completed the Land Stewardship Association's Farm Beginnings Training, as well as mentors and colleagues from my past farming experiences. We plan to develop relationships with landowners, and design and implement highly productive systems tailored to the needs and strengths of the property, utilizing principles of organic farming, agroecology, Holistic Management, and agroforestry. We also have programming to facilitate educational opportunities for future generations of farmers
