Personal experience and production goals summary:
My goal is first and foremost to homestead, living largely self sustainably. My desire is to grow produce and raise animals for myself and future family, friends, and neighbors. I aim to eventually have a small market garden for CSA and focus on agritourism, having a bed and breakfast where guests can experience life on a working farm and use my culinary background to provide meals made almost solely from the farm.
I have interned on a self sustainable, biodynamic farm in Colorado where i practiced animal husbandry(raw dairy, poultry, pigs, and sheep using rotational grazing practices) and vegetable production both in a greenhouse and open land for CSA.
After that i worked for a certified organic market farm that specialized in vegetable production for both CSA and farmers markets in WIlkesboro, NC.
I started a greenhouse for a dude and guest ranch in Estes Park, CO at an elevation of 9,200 ft where i grew small scale providing a portion of our greens and root vegetables.
I am currently work trading for a non certified organic farm in Weaverville, NC.
