Looking for the following:

Type of opportunity:

Sale (Owner Financed), Lease (1 to 5 Years), Lease (5+ Years), Lease with Option to Buy. More info: We are looking at expanding our Regenerative farming practices to Western NC. Would prefer a lease as a "trial run" but will consider owner financed property.

Equipment & infrastructure:

Barn, Fencing, Well / Pond / Other water source, Livestock facilities, Farmer housing, Cold storage (cooler/freezer). More info: If now housing is available, access to electric, water and septic would be a plus. We could park an RV on property as a temporary housing solution. We would like some sort of structure for hay and equipment storage. We have all the equipment necessary so there is no need for additional equipment unless landowner has some that is already there. Fencing for cattle, sheep, horses and hogs would be a great attribute to the property or permission from the land owner to construct fencing on the property.

Current production on farm:

Cattle (Dairy/Beef), Fallow, Field crops, Hay or pasture, Herbs, Hogs, Poultry (Broiler/Layer), Sheep/Goat (Dairy/Meat). More info: Current production is not a necessity. We currently raise all Heritage breed livestock. Would prefer an area that could accommodate a small beef herd (10-20 head), a small sheep flock (2-10 head), area for broilers and hens to be moved throughout the land as well as an area to rotate an average of 50 hogs.

Current farming practices:

Transitioning to organic, Ecological production but not certified, None, the property is not being farmed. More info: We currently own a Regenerative farm in Franklin County NC and would like to expand to the Western area of NC. We would prefer land that has not been sprayed and has been managed using Organic/Regenerative and holistic practices. Certified Organic is not a priority but we would pull soil samples from various places before committing.

Qualifications and goals:

Previous farming experience:

Manager

Number of years experience:

30

Production goals:

Cattle (Dairy/Beef), Fallow, Hay or pasture, Hogs, Poultry (Broiler/Layer), Sheep/Goat (Dairy/Meat). More info: Production goals will be to expand our existing operation in livestock to the region. We are currently an all grass fed/finished operation who farm regeneratively and will continue this practice on the land we acquire.

Personal experience and production goals summary:

We have an extensive background in regenerative farming and currently own and operate a small 50 acre farm in Franklin county NC. We would like to expand our operaton to the Western part of the state. We feel people deserve to have clean, nutrient dense foods and we strive to raise the best that Mother Nature can offer. We utilize all Heritage Breed animals. Our current livestock consists of Cattle (Red Devons), Sheep (Katahdins), Hogs (Large Blacks) and various Heritage breed broilers and hens.
