Looking for the following:

Type of opportunity:

Lease (1 to 5 Years), Lease (5+ Years), Lease with Option to Buy, Incubator / Mentored Lease, Business Partnership, Employment, Employment with Transfer. More info: Hoping for someone who wants to see their land keep it's foundation but allow an opportunity for growth. Last year I spent 6 months on 160 acres & 80 of it was mix used as garden/ hoop house/ pasture for cattle/ broiler chickens/ laying hens/ and I lived in the barn & on the land. It was a truly amazing experience & found my calling. I would like to raise my family on a farm where I can continue working in & around the garden daily growing various vegetables. While raising cattle, pigs, managing laying hens, and broilers from day 1 to processing. I would need a place that I could live with my family on the farm & grow.

Equipment & infrastructure:

Barn, Greenhouse, Livestock facilities, Farmer housing, Farm equipment. More info: Any & all equipment would be great but that's not a decision maker. There's no certain machinery I would need to have but obviously the more on site would benefit the transition greatly.

Current production on farm:

Field crops, Flowers, Hay or pasture, Herbs, Honey bees, Orchard, Poultry (Broiler/Layer), Sheep/Goat (Dairy/Meat), Vegetable production, Vineyard. More info: No production is necessary but just the opportunity to have a large garden, pasture for livestock, and room for the family to grow with the farm.

Qualifications and goals:

Previous farming experience:

Volunteer, Employee

Number of years experience:

1

Other qualifications:

Academic degree in agriculture or related field. More info: Experience "install to harvest" a full garden season for a CSA farm. Managed all livestock on 80 acre farm, cattle, pigs, laying hens, broilers (chicks to processing) in chicken tractors with 3 separate groups (500 each). Managed 20 men on farm, stayed in barn, lived fully of the learning, experiencing, & teaching the word of god.

Production goals:

Cattle (Dairy/Beef), Field crops, Hay or pasture, Herbs, Hogs, Honey bees, Poultry (Broiler/Layer), Vegetable production. More info: Provide a joyful experience for my wife & children while making the farm a product of our every day lives.

Personal experience and production goals summary:

The most amazing 6 months of my life were learning about myself from the inside out, my why, and eliminating the noise of the outside world by living/ working on a farm.  I want to continue that in my everday life & share that with my wife & children.
