Looking for the following:

Type of opportunity:

Sale (Standard), Sale (Owner Financed), Lease with Option to Buy, Business Partnership. More info: An owner financing opportunity will be ideal, particularly from an farmland owner who holds racial equity values. We're open to lease with the option to buy, standard sale, and even a business partnership (if it's the right fit). The land we seek is: * No less than 20 acres. * At least 8 acres of developed pasture * Wooded land for raising pigs * A few outbuildings in fair condition * Electricity and water * A house (not required but the land needs to have a space for a house in the future)

Equipment & infrastructure:

Barn, Well / Pond / Other water source, Farmer housing, Cold storage (cooler/freezer). More info: The OGIC farm has moved FIVE times, and we’ve invested money, time, and resources in spaces that will not benefit us in the future. While we are grateful for the spaces we cultivated, and we definitely learned a lot, not having land and inadequate support has made it difficult to expand this work. We are seeking ready-to-go farmland that has the following: * No less than 20 acres. * At least 8 acres of developed pasture * Wooded land for pig raising * A few outbuildings in fair condition * Electricity and water * A house (not required but the land needs to have a space for a house in the future)

Current production on farm:

Hogs, Poultry (Broiler/Layer). More info: We describe our livestock operation as the Meat Boutique! We provide quality meat that is sustainably raised with love, mother earth, and you in mind. We offer an array of pasture raised poultry products and forest raised pork. All animals are raised outdoors (eating all the grass, bugs, and grubs they can find) and given non-gmo feed. Just good food raised with love!

Current farming practices:

Ecological production but not certified. More info: For our livestock operation, we implement pasture raising techniques. All animals are raised outdoors and moved around the pasture for poultry and the woods for pigs.

Qualifications and goals:

She has worked and volunteered on several farms to learn how to run a farm business and be a good steward to the land and animals.

Cattle (Dairy/Beef), Herbs, Orchard, Vegetable production.

Personal experience and production goals summary:

Off Grid In Color's mission is to lead others to greater self-sufficiency through farm-raised meat, doula services and community outreach. Since our inception, we’ve pasture raised hundreds of pounds of high quality meat and educated hundreds of people though workshops on health, wellness, and homesteading. Our production goals are to continue scaling up our poultry and hog operation and incorporate new enterprises as we grow. For 2021 our goal is to raise 1800 broilers, 20 hogs, and 200 turkeys. Within the next five years we plan to have a one-acre market garden, cows and sheep.

Off Grid in Color began as a personal journey to cope with grief and trauma through nature. This personal journey quickly became a platform to show others how to live more self-sufficiently. Although OGIC is more than a farm, farming is the main component of the organization, specifically pasture raising animals.

In only a few short years, we went from raising 25 broilers to 1400. We are avid users of social media for marketing and advertising the farm. We regularly attend several farmers market. Most importantly we take care of the earth and animals using pasture-raising techniques. All animals live out doors and given non-gmo feed.
