Looking for the following:

Type of opportunity:

Sale (Owner Financed), Lease (1 to 5 Years), Lease (5+ Years), Lease with Option to Buy, Internship / Mentorship, Incubator / Mentored Lease, Business Partnership. More info: At 32y.o, I have worked my way from a dishwasher to a fine dining chef running a $6mil/yr shop with its' own organic garden, (of which I also managed the production of 60% all produce utilized in the kitchen- also-private events) before realizing that life should be taken slow to truly enjoy it and raise my children. Thus, I became a carpenter and learned the love the art of deliberate work, call me a seeker of authentic craft. Now, secured with my knowledge to run a business and perform any and all physical work necessary, not to mention the correct moral attitude required, I seek mentorship from an experienced fellow, and a plot of land to work on squaring every other face of my life.

Equipment & infrastructure:

Barn, Greenhouse, Farmer housing, Processing facilities, Cold storage (cooler/freezer). More info: With a family of three homeschooled children and their mother, (who is also a carpenter!) a home to live in or at the minimum, a place to "hook-up" a tiny home on wheels is required. With extensive experience in the final production of raw food ingredients into finished, marketable goods, as well as finished carpentry or woodworking, any workshop, kitchen, or production facility would only enhance my ability to create "value-added" goods in addition to the implied whole-sale, or direct to consumer agriculture.

Current production on farm:

Fallow, Field crops, Flowers, Hemp, Herbs, Orchard, Sheep/Goat (Dairy/Meat), Vegetable production, Vineyard, Woodlot or forest products. More info: With my connections to the restaurant and wholesale produce supply industry, as well as background in finished food goods, I would be most able to market these types of goods. (As well as a Chef's fascination with heirloom plants and their histories) Recently, I have put countless hours into the research of wholesale herb/botanical farming, as well as the finished oils, scents, soaps, and other such finished goods adjacent to to this facet of agriculture.

Current farming practices:

Biodynamic, Conventional, Certified organic, Transitioning to organic, Ecological production but not certified, None, the property is not being farmed. More info: I am most interested in intensive farming practices.

Qualifications and goals:

Previous farming experience:

Volunteer, Manager

Number of years experience:

2

Other qualifications:

More info: I have ten years of executive management experience, including financial experience of running a restaurant with an excess of 30 employees. From budgeting, P&L, business plan authoring, payroll, purchasing and buying, forecasting, C.O.G. analysis, proposals, marketing, customer service, equipment repair and (preventative)-maintenance, fuel, inventory (control) HACCP policy/procedures, health-code regulations, Labor-code regulations (OSHA), and everything else in between, I can say I am qualified. I also can drive a nail in straight, use a tape to a 1/32 of an inch and rip/cross cut a six quarter slab of hardwood into a workable, square board, 'cause, let's be honest, that's more important.

Production goals:

Flowers, Orchard, Sheep/Goat (Dairy/Meat), Vegetable production, Vineyard, Woodlot or forest products. More info: My goal is to own and operate a herb/botanical farm specializing in wholesale dry sales, as well as oils, soaps, cleaning supplies, tinctures, scents, incenses, potpourri. My goal is to diversify my product list with added value finished cottage goods, as well as finished woodworking.
