Personal experience and production goals summary:

I grew up on a Fraser Fir farm in Mitchell Co, and we also grew native azalea and rhodos. I did Hort in 4-h, high school, and a year of college before pursuing other directions. I worked at a nursery through high school and college, everything from retail, greenhouse, landscape, manual labor, propagation. "I work 2 days a week at Mission Hospital in Asheville. I also have an LLC for my nursery- I'm growing native perennials- millkweeds, coreopsis, coneflower, and many others, focused on pollinator restoration and natives only. Some in 1 gallon containers, others from seed in a small polytunnel. Additionally, I do Native landscape, invasive plant removal, and other forrest/property management through my business. It's important to me that the nursery I'm running be appropriately integrated into the land where it's located. I'm very committed to only growing Native plants.
