Looking for the following:

Type of opportunity:

Sale (Standard), Sale (Owner Financed), Lease with Option to Buy, Incubator / Mentored Lease, Business Partnership, Employment with Transfer. More info: Hello, I am currently seeking all avenues to obtain farmland that is at least 6 acres with access to a source of flowing water nearly year-round, on land where the vast majority does not flood annually. I plan to foster an orchard to raise my livestock on. I'd prefer to move in a direction towards owning my own land, but if theres a farmer out there doing what I plan on doing, seeking help, I certainly wouldn't mind learning a thing or two from your experience while helping you operate.

Equipment & infrastructure:

Barn, Fencing, Well / Pond / Other water source, Processing facilities, Irrigation equipment, Cold storage (cooler/freezer). More info: Selected equipment is only ideal. Source of flowing surface year-round water is ideal, but access to water is necessary. I am an engineer and I can build most of the equipment I need to suit my needs for cheaper than retail, but if the infrastructure is already in place thats great!

Current production on farm:

Cattle (Dairy/Beef), Hemp, Hogs, Honey bees, Orchard, Poultry (Broiler/Layer). More info: The vision I have for my farm produces poultry, pork, and apiary products, but also has dairy cows for personal use. My future property should produce 20,000 poultry annually reared under the cover of an abundantly planned 2-acre fruit orchard. Intend to use rotational grazing methods. If cannabis sativa becomes legal in NC I would also like to grow small batch cannabis sativa.

Current farming practices:

Biodynamic, Certified organic, Transitioning to organic, Ecological production but not certified, None, the property is not being farmed. More info: Would be very interested in a farm that already practices multi-species rotational grazing, maybe already works with bees

Qualifications and goals:

Previous farming experience:

Volunteer, Employee

Number of years experience:

1

Other qualifications:

Farm business training. More info: Bachelor's in chemical engineering Minor in chemistry Dedicated to constructing an independent sustainable lifestyle.

Production goals:

Flowers, Hogs, Honey bees, Orchard, Poultry (Broiler/Layer), Sheep/Goat (Dairy/Meat). More info: I plan to power a small farm on hydro-electric (and solar if hydro can't cut it alone) power to process 20,000 poultry annually and meet my energy needs. I also plan to run an apiary. Pigs won't be around for at least the first 1-2 years.

Personal experience and production goals summary:

20,000 poultry can be raised on 2-3 acres in a year through the pastured rotation program in my farming model. I've spent a significant portion of my COVID experience investing in learning how and planning to build a farm and I'd really like to get started with the spring arriving. My experience is limited essentially to gardening, landscaping, and some work I did on a horsefarm as a kid. I have a plan and a drive to get moving, so if youve got about 6 available acres with access to year-round flowing surface water please get in contact with me. Thank you.
