Property Description

We are searching for uniquely qualified individuals to settle into our homestead with us in Buncombe County. Our home in Leicester is shy of 2 acres and sustains a five bedroom farmhouse and two bedroom cottage. Our land is home to several children, a handful of healing arts practitioners, and a yoga/massage/ayurveda wellness center. Our vision is to develop long-term relationships with other individuals willing to farm and willing to help maintain the land and structures. This could be one, two, or three separate individuals with various passions, skills, and experiences. Ideally we would have at least one person wanting to lease the land for farming and at least one person willing to do maintenance. Housing is available for the qualified individuals. Compensation is flexible/negotiable based on availability and commitment of hours. Our ideal candidate for farm leasing would have experience in permaculture and growing medicinal and culinary herbs. We are open to other crops but would ideally love to have some herbs growing on-site for our various herbal endeavors in our home ayurveda clinic. We are also searching for a live-in farm manager to provide structural maintenance, landscaping, and general property management. Priorities will be: repairs to the various structures as needed, landscaping suitable for a professional establishment, and management of tenants in the absence of landowner (who travels occasionally for business). Our ideal candidate would have their own structure to live in on our land, such as a tiny home, camper, yurt, bus, etc. If you do not have your own structure available, then we do have several housing options available. Rent/utilities can be negotiated based on lease and/or work trade agreement. Our ideal candidate would have a healthy lifestyle: preferably vegetarian or vegan, minimal or no drugs or alcohol, and with an active spiritual practice.
