Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy Farmland Program
Our Farmland Protection Program provides farmers with a means to preserve their family farms or farmland for perpetuity. We often work to raise funds from the USDA ACEP-ALE Program and the NC Ag Development and Farmland Preservation Program to purchase conservation easements.
Conservation Trust for North Carolina
CTNC and local land trusts work with landowners to voluntarily conserve their land, through conservation easements or sale to a conservation-minded buyer, helping ensure that farms stay in farms and farmers have opportunities to access affordable farmland.
