Personal experience and production goals summary:

Having grown up in a family with a deep connection to the land, farming has always been more than just a livelihood for me—it's a way of life. From an early age, I learned the value of hard work, stewardship, and the profound impact agriculture can have on communities. This upbringing instilled in me a passion for farming and a desire to make a positive difference in the world through sustainable agriculture.

Over the years, I've gained hands-on experience working on various farms, honing my skills in organic vegetable cultivation, animal husbandry, and farm management. These experiences have provided me with invaluable insights into the complexities of farming, from soil health and crop rotation to animal welfare and market trends.

My vision for my own farming operation is rooted in principles of sustainability, community engagement, and social responsibility. I envision a diversified farm that not only produces nutritious, organic vegetables, eggs, and meat but also serves as a hub for education, empowerment, and collaboration.

In terms of production goals, my aim is to cultivate a wide variety of organic vegetables using regenerative farming practices. I plan to implement crop rotation, cover cropping, and composting to enhance soil fertility and minimize environmental impact. Additionally, I aim to establish a flock of free-range chickens for egg production, prioritizing their welfare and providing them with ample space to roam and forage.

For meat production, I intend to raise heritage breed cattle, focusing on sustainable grazing practices and rotational grazing to improve pasture health and animal well-being. I'm also interested in exploring opportunities for value-added products, such as artisanal cheeses or charcuterie, to diversify revenue streams and add value to our offerings.

In terms of scale, I aim to start modestly, with a focus on quality over quantity. Initially, I plan to start on a smaller scale, perhaps leasing land or starting with a few acres, and gradually expand as the business grows and demand for our products increases. My ultimate goal is to create a thriving, sustainable farming operation that not only provides nourishing food for the community but also serves as a model for regenerative agriculture and community empowerment.
