Personal experience and production goals summary:

I have been a farmer on and off for most of my life. I was a carpenter and Mason Spec. in the Army National guard. Honerable Medical DIscharge in 2005. I currently have a profitable Rabbitry where I raise rabbits for meat and as pets. I have experience with Cows, Meat and Layer Chickens, Pigs, and Goats. My family and I tried to start a farm in NY but quickly realized this is not the state for us. My husband is a Sales manager now but was a mechanic for 12 years and can fix anything, including but not limited to farm equipment. We have 5 children one togather and 2 each from previous marriage or otherwise. We have a deep love for animals. We currently have 2 cats 3 guina pigs and a Great Dane as well as 30+ Rabbits. This will be our second year doing taxes for our Rabbitry. We would really like to own and operate a small scale Meat farm with Goats, Rabbits, Chickens, turkeys and pigs. My husband plans to work full time off the property until our Goals provide enough revenue for him to be home full time. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. Thank You for your time.
