Farm-raised educator with family seeking to steward land, care for animals, and build a respectful, long-term lease.

I am seeking the opportunity to lease land to build a sustainable homestead for my family, grounded in respect for the land and a strong work ethic. With three years of hands-on, non-commercial farm experience, I have cared for animals, managed daily chores, and contributed to maintaining a healthy, productive environment. I was raised on a farm, and returning to that lifestyle is both a personal commitment and a way to provide stability and purpose for my husband, stepchildren, and myself. I approach land stewardship with responsibility, consistency, and a long-term mindset, and I am committed to maintaining and improving the property as if it were my own.

Equipment and infrastructure details

I am seeking a property with basic, functional infrastructure that supports a small-scale, sustainable homestead. A secure barn or outbuilding would be highly valuable for feed storage, equipment, and sheltering animals as needed. Existing fencing is important, particularly if it is in good repair, as I plan to use rotational grazing and will maintain and improve fencing over time. Simple livestock facilities such as a coop or small shelter would be ideal, though I am fully prepared to build or repair structures as needed with landowner approval.

Access to a reliable water source—such as a well, pond, or other established system—is essential for both household and animal use. Basic irrigation

Opportunity details

I am primarily seeking a long-term lease (5+ years) or a lease with the option to buy, as stability is important for building a responsible, well-maintained homestead. My goal is to invest time, care, and resources into the land with a long-term mindset, improving soil health, maintaining infrastructure, and creating a sustainable living environment for my family.

I am open to a shorter-term lease (1–5 years) if there is potential to extend, as well as opportunities that include mentoring, as I value learning from experienced landowners and building a mutually beneficial relationship. While my immediate focus is leasing, I would also consider owner-financed sale options in the future if the o

Goals details

I am seeking to establish a small-scale, family-run homestead focused on sustainable, low-impact farming practices that prioritize soil health, animal welfare, and long-term land stewardship. My approach centers on regenerative methods such as rotational grazing, composting, and natural soil building to improve fertility over time rather than deplete it. I plan to maintain a manageable number of animals—such as chickens for eggs and possibly goats for milk—ensuring they are well cared for and integrated into the land in a way that supports its health.

My production plans are intentionally non-commercial and focused on self-sufficiency, with the potential for small surplus sharing within the l
