Production goals
Goals details
The primary focus of the nursery will be organically grown native trees and perennial plants, with edible flowers as an additional offering. Long-term goals include developing a predominantly native and perennial demonstration garden.
As the farm and nursery develop, the goal is for the system to become increasingly self-sustaining, moving toward a balanced, holistic ecosystem that requires very little to no outside inputs. Seeds and cuttings can be collected from our own established plants. Spent mushroom compost can be incorporated into soil mixes for starting plants, woodchips from selected trees can be used for mulch, reducing waste and creating greater self-sufficiency.

Experience details
Started out working on an organic herb farm in 2014. I have since worked on organic vegetable farms, in greenhouses, private gardens, and retail nurseries while formally studying and gaining certifications in agroforestry and permaculture. Started growing native trees and perennials in 2020. Currently working as a fine gardener/landscape tech. Certified as an organic land care practitioner through NOFA-CT in 2025.
