Angel and Jeremy have worked on, managed, and owned their own farm for a combinded 10 years. They have co-owned Purple Clay Farm for three years. The farm is currently on a incubator farm in suburban High Point. The farm is between a quart and half acre in vegetable production using organic and low-till practices. All vegetables grown are sold at the Cobblestone Market in Winston-Salem, a CSA program, and local restaurtants. Angel and Jeremy are looking to expand their operation to meet the market demand, and thus are looking for land to purchase. The incubator farm has been a tremendous help in building Purple Clay Farm as a business and building Angel and Jeremy's skills as farmers. However, they are looking to expand and invest in more equipment and infrustrature on a more permnenant piece of land.

Equipment and infrastructure details

Any equipment and infrastructure already in place would be a great addition, obviously. However, we are not expecting anything. We have all of our own irrigation equipment, fencing, and a few other smaller equipment/materials that would be moved from our current property.

  • Sale (Owner Financed)
  • Lease w/Option to Buy

Opportunity details

We have been absolutely lucky to have been a part of an incubator situation for the past three years. This has helped us build our customer base, as well as manage all aspects of a farming operation on our own. Now, we are looking to purchase our own land so we can expand to meet the market demand we are seeing, as well as put down more permanent roots. We grow a diverse array of vegetables by organic, low-till methods.

  • Ecological production but not certified

Practices details

We are committed to organic production. Any sprays and fertilizers used are OMRI certified, though we are looking forward to a day when we are able to transition away from sprays. We believe in building the soil up, so we apply organic compost, as well. We desire our produce to be beautiful, nutritious, and grown with a lot of love and care. The farm is co-owned by two people who have worked on various organic farms from Massachusetts, to Kentucky, to North Carolina for over 10 years. We are both dedicated to our craft.

  • Flowers / Herbs
  • Orchard / Vineyard
  • Vegetables

Goals details

Our main goal is vegetables. It is what we both know due to our trainings. However, we are interesting in eventually having a smaller orchard, given than locally grown organic fruit is very hard to come by in this area. Additionally, we have an interest in flowers given how beneficial they are for vegetable production, and just how beautiful they make a farm.

Years of experience

Experience details

A combined decade of experience between the two farmers, including owning our own farm business for three years. Before that, both farmers have had management experience at different vegetable production farms, as well as farm-hand experience.
