Hey all! First generation farmer on leased land in Pitt County looking for land to raise our family and crops.

I own a small farm in Pitt County where we grow everything organically with the goal of regenerating the soil  for a healthy environment that support healthy plants to grow healthy people.

We have been growing microgreens and edible flowers in an indoor facility on our own property for four years.  We currently lease one acre of blackberries and a medium sized high tunnel where we grow vegetables most of the year.

We hope to add the first organic strawberries in our area and expand into more varieties of fruits of vegetables.

Equipment and infrastructure details

Obviously the more infrastructure the better, but the only thing we truly need is a water source and road access.

  • Sale (Cash or Mortgage)
  • Sale (Owner Financed)
  • Lease (5+ Years)
  • Lease w/Option to Buy
  • Lease w/Mentoring
  • Incubator Program

  • Employment with Transfer

Opportunity details

I'm looking for at least 3 acres but larger areas are certainly welcome.  I would like to own the land one day because farm infrastructure is difficult to move and I'd like to plant fruit trees and other perrineals.

I am open to a mentorship, incubator or other opportunities to learn what I can. I am flexible, so if you have an opportunity that you think might work for both of us, feel free to reach out! I'd love to get the chance to talk about our ideas and yours!

Practices details

We already engage in regenerative, biodynamic organic farming. We hope to be certified organic by 2026.

We want to continue these practices to restore soil that has suffered from long term mono-cropping or to maintain and improve land that is already healthy.

Goals details

My goal is to provide fresh, certified organic berries, small fruits and vegetables to the local community.  We have helped other farms with meat production and hope to be able to include this to further our regenerative agriculture goals.

I started and have been running our microgreens and edible flower farm for 4 years. I have 4 years of organic small fruit experience and 3 years of organic fruit tree experience in a home garden, but we're in our first year of outdoor commercial fruit production.

My experience includes ocean rescue, law enforcement, exercise physiology and biomedical science.

I have completed training in strawberry, blackberry and diversified vegetable production as well as leadership and management. I attended the 2024 NC Farm School  and we work with East Carolina University and UNC-Chapel Hill to provide real-world experience to students across a variety of degree programs.
