First generation farmer looking for my perfect piece of cleared cropland to start my Agro tourism business.

I am currently managing a 2-acre bamboo farm where I cultivate bamboo and repurpose it into a variety of products, which I sell at local farmers markets. My goal is to expand by acquiring new property and propagating bamboo from my current farm to build a larger, more sustainable operation. The bamboo will be grown as a renewable resource and utilized in multiple ways, including raw material for eco-friendly building supplies and processing excess bamboo into bamboo-activated charcoal. Beyond farming and production, I plan to create an agrotourism and educational space that highlights the sustainability of bamboo. A key focus will be teaching young women about unique farming practices.

Equipment and infrastructure details

My preferred equipment includes full irrigation systems, soil management tools, bamboo cutters, splitters, and drying racks for efficient processing. I plan to have a dedicated storage area for harvested bamboo and processing equipment to create building materials, bamboo-activated charcoal, and other products. These tools will support sustainable cultivation, efficient production, and value-added processing while ensuring the farm can operate effectively and minimize waste.

Opportunity details

I am seeking land and a farming opportunity that allows me to expand my bamboo operations and fully implement sustainable, regenerative practices. Ideally, the property would support propagation, cultivation, and processing of bamboo, with space for irrigation systems, storage, and production infrastructure. I am looking for a setting where I can grow bamboo as a renewable resource, create value-added products like bamboo-activated charcoal and building materials, and develop educational and agrotourism programs. The opportunity should enable me to mentor young women, showcase sustainable farming techniques, and build a model farm that combines production, education, and community impact.

Practices details

My farming practices focus on sustainability, regeneration, and education. I plan to expand bamboo cultivation through propagation while applying regenerative agriculture techniques such as soil building, water conservation, and permaculture design. Bamboo will be harvested as a renewable resource for building materials and products, with excess used to create bamboo-activated charcoal. Every part of the plant will be utilized to reduce waste. I also plan to develop the farm as a living classroom, teaching visitors and mentoring young women in sustainable farming and entrepreneurship.

Goals details

My desired farming practices are centered on sustainability, regeneration, and innovation. I plan to expand my bamboo cultivation through propagation and implement regenerative agricultural methods, including soil enrichment, water conservation, and permaculture design, to ensure the long-term health of the land.

Production plans include using bamboo as a renewable raw material for eco-friendly building supplies, developing value-added products such as bamboo-activated charcoal from excess harvests, and continuing to create sustainable goods for local markets. By fully utilizing the plant, I aim to minimize waste and highlight bamboo’s versatility.

Experience details

I began my agricultural experience working on a tropical fruit farm in South Florida that utilized permaculture practices, where I gained hands-on knowledge in sustainable farming methods and land stewardship. In 2020, I expanded my training by earning a certification in Bamboo Architectural Design, which provided me with specialized knowledge in using bamboo as a renewable and structural building material. Since 2021, I have owned and managed a bamboo farm, where I cultivate bamboo, oversee farm operations, and produce a variety of bamboo-based products. Through this work, I have developed skills in crop management, product development, and sustainable farming practices.
