I presently farm flowers  USDA Zone 7a on an incubator farm in western CO. My family is in Upstate SC.

Worked for Colorado State University 2024-2025 as a high school student Mentor in the Colorado GROW Youth Institute -the Borlaug Scholar Program (Norman Borlaug -“Founder of the green revolution, Nobel Peace Prize , etc) .  Would love to do more of this type of mentorship.
Continue on a NC  plot/acreage with regenerative practices growing veggies, herbs, flowers .
Contribute fresh farm veggies to food banks .
Contribute to soil health on plot/farm . Continue learning about soil health and conservation  practices .
Community Involvement: Educate  children and young adults as  to farm/food importance & sustainable practices(soil health, organics) and importance of pollinator corridors.

Equipment and infrastructure details

I only need 1-3 acres of relatively level or gently sloping land. I realize I will probably have to install a deer fence. Some farming equipment would be nice such as a tiller although for soil health, I plan to go low-no till in the future . This will be a transition process-not immediate.A small greenhouse structure would be nice for propagating seed, but I could build something. Good water source of course is necessary with decent water pressure  and good drainage is critical . I would love to live on property if at all possible .I personally own most of the basic tools I need besides tiller . I prefer USDA Growing zone 7a-7b (as per the recent changes with the  USDA zones).
