Seeking
- 6-10 Total acres
Desired locations
Small family seeking farmland to homestead, grow food, and teach our children hands-on farming & self-sufficient living.
Plan
This homestead farming plan emphasizes self-reliance, soil health, and reliable yields. Chickens and goats for eggs, milk, manure, and weed control, closing nutrient loops. Water is conserved with rain catchment, mulch, and drip lines. Compost, cover crops, and low tillage improve structure. Seasonal planning guided planting, harvest, storage, and preservation, creating resilience, low inputs and surplus for sharing or sale.
Desired infrastructure
Equipment and infrastructure details
We really don’t have any preferred equipment or infrastructure other than farm land. We can build what ever is needed as we grow.
Preferred type of opportunity
Opportunity details
We are looking for an opportunity that will allow us to start building our homestead to raise our family and teach our children hands on farming skills. As we build and grow our homestead, we want to help the youth in the community by providing a safe environment for them to come and grow their own produce in the community garden area while learning skills. I work in law enforcement and my fiancé works at a local daycare and we believe helping others and giving back to the community is very important to not only our children but also the community itself.
