I am a beginning farmer in Iredell County, NC, working to establish a small, diversified family farm. I am seeking 5 to 20 acres through a lease, lease-to-own, or other affordable land-access arrangement. My plans include raising goats and sheep for meat, breeding, and natural land clearing, along with growing vegetables for local families, farmers, and markets. I plan to use responsible practices such as rotational grazing, pasture management, proper fencing, soil improvement, manure utilization, and efficient water use. My long-term goal is to build a sustainable, profitable farm that provides local food, livestock, and agricultural opportunities while caring for the land responsibly

My desired farming practices focus on sustainable, responsible, and efficient farming. I plan to use rotational grazing for goats and sheep to protect pasture, improve soil health, and prevent overgrazing. I want to incorporate fencing, managed watering systems, composting and proper manure use, cover crops, crop rotation, and soil-building practices. Vegetable production will emphasize healthy soil, conservation, and reducing unnecessary chemical use. I also plan to use livestock for natural vegetation and brush management where appropriate. My goal is to maintain healthy land while producing quality livestock and vegetables for local customers and markets
