About Us
We’re Cassidy and Tim, a hardworking young couple in central North Carolina with a strong desire to steward land

Farming Status, Plans, and Practices
We are beginning farmers with homestead experience, eager to grow into full-time farm ownership. While we do not yet own farmland, we have hands-on experience with animal care, gardening, and property maintenance, and we are ready to expand into a larger farm setting where we can live and work on the land.

Our vision is to develop a small diversified farm that supports both livestock and crops. We plan to keep horses, poultry, and possibly goats for rotational grazing and integrated pasture management. We are also interested in growing vegetables and staple crops for family use and local markets. Our approach is practical and sustainable—we want to build so

Equipment and infrastructure details

Preferred Equipment and Infrastructure
As beginning farmers, we are looking for land with basic infrastructure in place or the flexibility to add what we need over time. We don’t require a fully developed farm but prefer properties that allow us to start small and grow sustainably.

Infrastructure Priorities

  • Fencing & Pastures: Secure perimeter and cross-fencing (or space to install) for rotational grazing of horses, poultry, and small livestock.
  • Water Access: Reliable well or county water with outdoor spigots and access to ponds/creeks for livestock.
  • Shelter: Barn, run-in sheds, or simple outbuildings for equipment storage and animal housing.
  • Housing Flexibility: Ability to place a manufactured or

Opportunity details

We are seeking a long-term opportunity to live and farm on-site, ideally through a lease-to-own, seller-financed sale, or affordable long-term lease arrangement. Our goal is to build sweat equity and invest our labor, care, and resources into maintaining and improving the property while creating a path to eventual ownership.

We are open to a range of opportunities, including:

  • Lease-to-own agreements where our improvements and care contribute toward eventual purchase.
  • Long-term leases with the ability to place modest housing (manufactured or small home) on the property.
  • Seller-financed sales that make land ownership more accessible for beginning farmers.
  • Partnerships with retiring farmers who want
  • Ecological production but not certified

Practices details

Desired Farming Practices
Our goal is to manage the land in a way that keeps it productive, healthy, and resilient for generations to come. We want to practice sustainable and regenerative farming methods that focus on soil health, water conservation, and long-term stewardship.

For livestock, we plan to use rotational grazing with horses, poultry, and small ruminants (such as goats) to naturally fertilize pastures, control weeds, and prevent overgrazing. For crops, we want to integrate diverse gardens and small fields with crop rotation, natural soil amendments (compost, cover crops), and minimal chemical use, focusing on improving soil fertility year after year.

We believe in maintaining a bal

Goals details

Desired Farming Practices, Production Plans, and Goals
We want to build a diversified small farm that blends homesteading with sustainable production. Our practices will focus on regenerative and responsible land management—keeping the soil healthy, protecting water sources, and ensuring that the land is more productive and resilient over time.

Farming Practices

  • Rotational grazing with horses, poultry, and small livestock (goats/sheep) to naturally fertilize pastures, control weeds, and prevent erosion.
  • Soil health management through composting, cover crops, mulching, and minimal chemical use.

Experience details

Employment
We are beginning farmers without formal agricultural degrees, but we bring practical hands-on experience, a strong work ethic, and a passion for land stewardship. Over the years, we have cared for home gardens, raised small livestock, and learned property upkeep skills that translate directly into farm management. This includes fence repair, animal care, gardening, composting, and maintaining land and buildings.

In addition to homestead and gardening experience, we both have professional work backgrounds that keep us active, organized, and detail-oriented. These skills help us approach farming with the discipline needed to manage daily operations and long-term planning. We are conti
