Hello! I am looking for pasture land to graze beef cattle in Franklin County, NC. Thank you for your consideration!
Plan
I currently farm part-time in Louisburg, NC on leased land. I purchase feeder steers from a local farm at ~500-600lbs, stock them until ~1,000lbs, and then finish them on a grain finishing ration to ~1,200lbs. The steers are then slaughtered and processed for freezer beef. Our freezer beef is sold in quarters, halves, or wholes. I plan to lease enough land to keep brood cows and then utilize their offspring for the feeders in our freezer beef program. Our farm follows North Carolina - Beef Quality Assurance (NC-BQA) management practices.

Experience details
I obtained a Bachelor's of Science in Natural Resources from NC State University with a minor in Agricultural Business Management and a Master's of Science in Forestry from Mississippi State University. I also interned at the USDA-ARS (Nitrogen Fixation Unit) while at NC State University. I started farming beef cattle in 2021.
