Active gardener looking to buy up to 20 acres to set up a personal farm (non-commercial - aka "hobby farm).

Hobby farm in retirement.  A place where family and friends and come to try, learn, and experience regenerative gardening/farming techniques ... and to prevent the land from become a tract development.

Planning to establish/utilize:

  • Large garden for annual vegetable crops for family/friends; no commercial intentions; over-production to go to food banks
  • "Food forest" for perennial food sources; fruit, nuts, berries, grapes, perennial vegetables, compost materials
  • small livestock - chickens, ducks, rabbits, potentially pygmy goats/pigs
  • Farmer housing
  • Barn
  • Fencing
  • Greenhouse
  • Cold storage (cooler/freezer)
  • Well / Pond / Other water source
  • Sale (Cash or Mortgage)
  • Regenerative
  • Ecological production but not certified
  • Honey bees
  • Poultry (Broiler / Layer)
