Hi there! I’m Jamie — a sanctuary founder, content creator, and aspiring homesteader based in Iredell County, NC.

I currently run a small dog rescue and farm setup, and I’m looking to lease 10+ acres where I can expand into livestock and shared land stewardship.

My goal is to find a landowner who’s open to a collaborative, long-term arrangement — where I pay rent (monthly or annually), handle daily care of animals, and possibly share profits from the land’s output. I plan to keep Highland cows, goats, chickens, and possibly grow produce or flowers. I’m fully committed to responsible care, rotational grazing, and improving the land, not just using it.

Equipment and infrastructure details

I prefer simple, functional infrastructure suited to small-scale, ethical farming. Key needs include secure fencing, animal shelters, reliable water access, basic electricity, and a small garden area. A barn or storage shed would be ideal for hay and tools. Long-term, I’d love access to a compact tractor or UTV, but I currently use hand tools and am happy to contribute to building or improving what’s on site.

Opportunity details

I’m looking for a long-term lease or partnership on 10+ acres in Iredell County where I can responsibly raise animals, grow food, and invest in the land. Ideally, I’d pay monthly or yearly rent, contribute to upkeep, and use the space to grow my small sanctuary and farm operations.

I’m also open to lease-to-own or owner-financed purchase options if the fit is right. My goal is to build something lasting — whether that means improving your land while leasing or eventually becoming the owner. If you’re looking for someone who will treat your property with care, commitment, and purpose, I’d love to connect.

Practices details

I’m deeply interested in regenerative and sustainable farming practices that respect the land, the animals, and future generations. My approach is rooted in compassion, self-sufficiency, and building a thriving, balanced ecosystem — not just extracting from it.

For livestock, I plan to use rotational grazing, low-stress handling, and enrichment-focused care. I want to raise Highland cows, goats, and chickens in a way that supports soil health and promotes natural behaviors. My animals are part of the family, not just assets — and their wellbeing is always my top priority.

On the crop side, I’m interested in small-scale vegetable gardening, herbs, and cut flowers — grown organically and with mi

Goals details

I plan to run a small-scale, regenerative farm focused on ethical animal care and sustainable land use. My primary goals include rotational grazing for Highland cows, goats, and chickens, along with a garden for herbs, vegetables, and flowers. I avoid chemicals, compost naturally, and prioritize soil and pasture health.

I also plan to create handmade products like candles, soaps, and dog treats to support the sanctuary. Long-term, I’d love to host visitors, share my journey online, and build a space that’s peaceful, productive, and community-minded.

Experience details

While I don't have formal agricultural schooling, I’ve gained real-world experience through years of hands-on work and independent learning. I currently operate a small sanctuary in Iredell County where I care for multiple rescue animals, including dogs, chickens, and soon, goats and Highland cows. This work requires daily land management, rotational care, feeding systems, housing maintenance, and basic veterinary knowledge.

I’ve also educated myself through trusted sources like NC State Extension, YouTube channels by regenerative farmers, and homesteading communities. I’m continuously learning about pasture health, soil improvement, composting, livestock integration, and ethical practices.
