Hello, I am beginning farmer striving to grow my small operation into a family business.

Currently a part time farmer growing small acreage deer corn and rasing dairy calfs.  My goals are to build a cow/calf beef herd, expand into small grains and forages, while also expanding our small herd of Guernsey cows.  At this time our practices are conventional but my plan is to transition to No-Till and implement the use of cover crops in the future.

Practices details

I plan to implement the use of No-Till and cover crops therefore reducing the cost of my farming operation and increasing the viability of the land being farmed. Rotational grazing and different varieties of forage will also be utilized.

Experience details

My agricultural education started with raising feeder swine and feeding bottle calves. My family then expanded their broiler operation which I then began assisting with during summer break from school. This included helping with cutting and baling hay as well as daily feeding of the beef herd. In the years since I have used my considerable knowledge of equipment repair to help keep 3 different farms up and running. Repairing and servicing equipment, planting and harvesting corn, hay and silage.
