I'm interested in growing a sustainable farming operation, with a focus on expanding sheep flocks and agriculture.

Our farm is committed to sustainable and organic growth, with a focus on eco-friendly practices that benefit both the land and livestock. We specialize in raising Katahdin and Dorper sheep, breeds known for their hardiness and low-maintenance care. These sheep thrive in a system, which emphasizes rotational grazing and proper pasture management to maintain healthy, fertile soil.

As part of our expansion plans, we aim to grow our sheep flocks while transitioning to solar energy for a more sustainable operation. We use natural pest deterrents, including companion planting, to enhance biodiversity and reduce the need for chemical treatments. We’re also experimenting with harvesting tea.

Practices details

Our farming practices focus on regenerative and ecological principles that prioritize soil health, biodiversity, and long-term land stewardship. We use cover crops, composting, reduced tillage, and rotational grazing where applicable to build resilient systems. While we follow organic standards in practice and avoid synthetic inputs, we value transparency and ecological integrity over certification alone. We remain open to organic certification as the farm grows and market needs evolve.

Goals details

Our farm will operate using regenerative, ecological practices focused on soil health, biodiversity, and long-term resilience. We will begin with sheep production for wool and value-added fiber, managed through rotational grazing to build soil and improve pasture health. We also plan to establish tea tree plantings alongside medicinal herbs and flowering fields designed to support honeybee populations and native pollinators. Our goal is to create a diverse, pollinator-friendly, closed-loop system that restores the land while producing high-quality agricultural products.
