Seeking
- 0-5 Total acres
- 0-5 Acres of cropland or tillable land
- 0-5 Acres of pasture
Desired locations
Hello, I’m a flower farmer that has moved from CA. I mostly grow annual crops but don’t have enough land.
Plan
I’d like to have land to farm flowers and expand to include some food crops. I may also like to have some goats and produce goats cheese.
I have previously sold and supplied flowers to the LA flower Market downtown with a focus on flowers that can’t be imported due to their delicate nature. I have a spot at the Farmers Market in Greenville.
Desired infrastructure
Equipment and infrastructure details
Tillable land and water access
Preferred type of opportunity
Opportunity details
Some land to lease. I need to get up and running and don’t have a lot to spend on land purchasing. Would be great if I could borrow a tractor to prep the soil and have some access to water.
Desired farming practices
Practices details
I was trained as an organic farmer and like to preserve and add to the land I’m working in hopes of creating a sustainable microclimate that supports pollinators and birdlife while improving the soil structure.
Production goals
Goals details
I hope to farm around 1 acre in flowers and an acre in food crops (mixed veggies) and another acre or so to house some goats and possibly chicken. The goats are negotiable. I plan to sell at the farmers markets in the region, CSAs and to my flower wholesale contacts.
