Looking to farm flowers, herbs, poultry and sheep. Entrepreneurial, would love to discuss vision.

We are new to farming. It is something we’ve felt called to for a long time, but haven’t had the opportunity due to where we lived in California previously.

After years of postpartum depression, I have finally begun to heal by eating whole organic foods and avoiding inflammatory foods. I believe further healing would be possible if given the opportunity to produce our own food and income by way of farming.

We would love the opportunity to learn a lifestyle that would be life giving and income producing for our family.

  • Barn

  • Greenhouse
  • Processing facilities
  • Well / Pond / Other water source

Opportunity details

We’re looking for an opportunity to learn, build a lifestyle to facilitate the health of myself and family, and make an impact on the community.

After 3 years of crippling postpartum depression, I began to heal once I learned that my brain was inflamed from trauma, chronic stress, inflammatory foods, and a lack of a community.

Real organic foods, the outdoors, real rest, and connection with others has been my way out.

I want to share this healing journey with other moms and their families in my community. I believe this will help bridge the gap in postpartum care. When mothers are strengthened, so are entire communities.

If you feel aligned with this vision, I would love to connect

  • Regenerative

Practices details

We hope to learn regenerative farming practices. Specifically pastured poultry and laying poultry. Additionally, sunflowers, sheep, and herbs.

  • Cattle (Dairy / Beef)
  • Flowers / Herbs
  • Poultry (Broiler / Layer)
  • Sheep/Goat (Dairy / Meat)
  • Vegetables

Goals details

We hope to farm flowers, poultry, sheep and vegetables primarily. We have a deep conviction that farming is what is best for our family.

Would be a wonderful bonus if we had the opportunity to have a Farmstand!

The big vision for the future would be a hub for community workshops, events and gatherings for mothers and their families to reclaim holistic health, deep community, and self-sufficiency in a farm setting.

We would love to bring revitalization to our community through offering vacation rentals, bolstering the mental health of families who are in need of connecting with nature, disconnecting from the overwhelm of the culture, while simultaneously learning about self-sufficiency.

Experience details

While we have no farming experience, I owned and operated an event floral design studio so I am very familiar with flowers. I’d love to host flower workshops.

My husbands grandfather is a Rodeo professional in Canada, he farms on his 25,000 acres. He is a resource to lean on for knowledge and assistance if needed.
