Seeking
- 11-50 Total acres
- 6-10 Acres of cropland or tillable land
- 6-10 Acres of pasture
- 0-5 Acres of hayland
Desired locations
Seeking farmland to create RareBreed Legacy Farm, a hub for sustainable farming, education, and community impact.
Plan
RareBreed Legacy Homestead is in its foundational stage, with plans to establish a sustainable farm focused on community impact, education, and regenerative practices. Our mission is to serve historically underserved populations, including women, children, and veterans, by providing agricultural training, wellness programs, and opportunities for legacy-building. The farm will integrate diverse crops, small livestock, and community gardens while emphasizing soil health, eco-friendly practices, and sustainability. Our goal is to create a space that fosters resilience, faith, and empowerment, becoming a model for inclusive and purpose-driven farming.
Desired infrastructure
Equipment and infrastructure details
RareBreed Legacy Farm requires essential infrastructure and equipment to support sustainable, regenerative farming. Key needs include a barn for storage and livestock housing, fencing for rotational grazing and crop protection, and a greenhouse to extend growing seasons. Farm equipment, such as a tractor and tiller, will aid in soil and crop management, while livestock facilities ensure humane care for poultry and goats. Irrigation systems and a reliable water source like a well or pond are critical for crop and livestock needs. Cold storage is necessary for preserving produce, eggs, and value-added products. These tools will ensure efficient, eco-friendly operations.
Preferred type of opportunity
Opportunity details
RareBreed Legacy Farm seeks a flexible pathway to establish a sustainable, mission-driven farm. While owning our own farm is the ultimate goal, leasing offers the most valuable opportunity to launch and grow in the early stages. A Lease w/Option to Buy is ideal, allowing us to invest in the land while working toward ownership. A Lease w/Mentoring is also highly appealing, as it provides guidance to ensure long-term success. Ownership would allow us to fully realize our mission of community empowerment and sustainable agriculture. We are open to Owner-Financed Sales to transition toward ownership.
Desired farming practices
Practices details
RareBreed Legacy Farm is committed to regenerative and transitioning-to-organic farming practices. Our goal is to create a sustainable and inclusive farm that prioritizes soil health, biodiversity, and ecological balance. While we aim to achieve organic certification, we will initially focus on ecological production practices that align with organic standards. Our methods will include no-till farming, crop rotation, and composting to enrich the soil and reduce environmental impact. We also plan to integrate small livestock for natural land management and nutrient cycling, ensuring a holistic approach that benefits the environment and the community.
Production goals
Goals details
RareBreed Legacy Farm will focus on regenerative and transitioning-to-organic farming practices to create a sustainable, inclusive space for community impact. We prioritize soil health, biodiversity, and ecological balance through no-till farming, crop rotation, composting, and integrating livestock for natural land management. Our production goals include growing vegetables, flowers, and herbs, raising poultry and small livestock, cultivating honey bees, and developing a small orchard. These efforts aim to provide fresh produce, promote ecological stewardship, and support underserved populations through education and empowerment.

My agricultural journey is rooted in establishing RareBreed Legacy Farm, focused on sustainability, education, and community impact. While in the foundational phase, I’ve gained hands-on experience in community gardening, food security efforts, and regenerative farming research. I’m actively expanding my knowledge through workshops, self-guided learning, and partnerships with agricultural organizations. My goal is to create a farm that serves historically underserved populations, emphasizing sustainable practices and providing opportunities for education, empowerment, and legacy-building.
