Seeking
- 0-5 Total acres
- 0-5 Acres of cropland or tillable land
- 0-5 Acres of pasture
Desired locations
Seeking land to build a small, sustainable farm—growing food, flowers, and a slower, more intentional life.
Plan
I am an aspiring small-scale farmer currently growing vegetables, herbs, and flowers from seed in a home garden setting. I manage seed starting, transplanting, and seasonal crop planning, and I am continuing to expand my production with the goal of moving into small-scale market growing.
My plan is to develop a diversified, micro farm focused on vegetables, herbs, flowers, and egg production from laying hens.
Desired infrastructure
Equipment and infrastructure details
I plan to begin with a low-input setup and scale as needed. Initial needs include access to water, a small area for crop production, and space for starting seeds (such as a greenhouse or protected area, though I can also establish my own setup).
Over time, I would add basic tools, irrigation, and simple infrastructure such as fencing and a coop for laying hens. I am open to working with existing infrastructure or developing it gradually.
Preferred type of opportunity
Opportunity details
I am seeking land to grow a small, sustainable farm and am open to leasing, purchasing, or lease-to-own opportunities. I hope to find a place where I can build something long-term—caring for the land, growing thoughtfully, and creating a meaningful connection over time.
I would prefer to be in Person County or within a 30-minute radius of Person County.

Production goals
Goals details
My goal is to establish a diversified micro farm producing vegetables, herbs, and flowers for local sale, along with eggs from a small flock of laying hens. I plan to begin at a manageable scale and grow gradually over time.
Production will focus on high-quality, seasonal crops with the intention of selling through local markets and direct-to-consumer channels.

Experience details
My experience has been primarily hands-on and self-directed, including seed starting, transplant care, and seasonal crop planning. I have spent time researching best practices for small-scale and sustainable farming and applying them in my current growing space.
I have attended several in-person and virtual classes and workshops. I am also committed to continuing my education through additional classes and/or workshops and practical experience as I expand into a larger growing operation.
