Seeking
- 11-50 Total acres
- 11-50 Acres of pasture
Desired locations
First-generation farmer seeking NC land, open to lease or partnership for rotational grazing livestock
Plan
I am a first-generation farmer seeking land access in North Carolina to learn and build a small, sustainable livestock operation. My focus is on rotational grazing and responsible land stewardship, with the long-term goal of raising cattle, sheep, and poultry using organic and regenerative practices. My aim is to provide healthy, ethically raised meat for local communities, guided by values of faith in God, service, honesty, and respect for the land. Ideally, I am seeking a partnership where learning and responsibility are shared, and I am also open to learning-focused leasing arrangements built on trust and long-term care of the land
Desired infrastructure
Equipment and infrastructure details
I prefer practical, efficient equipment and infrastructure suited for small to mid-scale livestock operations. This includes temporary and permanent fencing for rotational grazing, reliable livestock water systems, basic shelters or shade, and low-stress handling equipment. I am open to building or improving infrastructure such as fencing and water systems if a property does not already have them. On-site housing would be ideal but is not required. Infrastructure will be developed gradually using cost-effective, scalable solutions that support animal welfare, pasture health, and long-term land stewardship
Preferred type of opportunity
Opportunity details
I am open to mentorship, partnership, lease, or potential purchase opportunities. I value learning, shared responsibility, and clear communication, and I am flexible in structuring an arrangement that supports long-term land care and a mutually beneficial relationship.
Desired farming practices
Practices details
The farm model is based on rotational grazing and low-stress livestock management. Livestock will be raised primarily on pasture, with careful attention to stocking rates, rest periods, and soil health. Practices will align with organic and regenerative principles, even if formal certification is not pursued initially. Livestock goals include cattle, sheep (lamb), and poultry, introduced gradually to ensure animal welfare, pasture health, and operational stability.
Production goals
Goals details
My goal is to build a small, sustainable livestock operation in North Carolina focused on rotational grazing and long-term land stewardship. I plan to raise livestock on pasture using low-stress handling, organic and regenerative principles, and careful stocking rates to protect soil health and animal welfare. Livestock will be sourced for adaptability, fertility, and resilience to local conditions, with the long-term goal of developing healthy herds and flocks that produce high-quality, ethically raised meat. Production will grow gradually, prioritizing land care, transparency, and serving the local community

Experience details
My background is in finance and business. I am a CPA with experience in accounting, operations, and financial management, and I currently own and part-time operate a small business. I have completed three agricultural internships totaling approximately six months, gaining hands-on exposure to livestock care, pasture management, and day-to-day farm operations. In addition to practical experience, I am actively learning through independent study, reading, workshops, and online courses focused on regenerative agriculture, rotational grazing, and sustainable livestock systems. I value continual learning and applying sound planning and financial discipline to farming
