Desired farming practices
Practices details
My desired farming practices center around regenerative agriculture, as it provides a holistic and sustainable approach to both crop cultivation and livestock management. One of my key priorities is to build and restore soil health, as healthy soil is the foundation of a productive and resilient farm. By using cover crops, composting, and minimal tillage, I aim to improve soil structure, increase its organic matter, and enhance its ability to retain water and nutrients. This not only boosts crop yields naturally but also reduces the need for synthetic fertilizers and chemical inputs, lowering costs while promoting a more environmentally friendly system.
Production goals
Goals details
My farming practices will focus on regenerative agriculture, prioritizing soil health, biodiversity, and sustainability. I plan to integrate livestock using rotational grazing to improve pasture quality while raising poultry, goats, and cattle ethically. My production plans include organic vegetables, eggs, and dairy, using composting and natural fertilizers to enhance soil fertility. My goal is to create a self-sustaining homestead that provides healthy food, conserves resources, and supports local markets while ensuring long-term environmental and financial sustainability.

Experience details
I come from a strong agricultural background, with both my maternal and paternal grandparents being farmers. I spent all my holidays working on their farms, gaining hands-on experience in various aspects of farming. My maternal grandmother specialized in poultry farming, and I learned a great deal about raising chickens for both eggs and meat, including proper feeding, housing, and disease prevention. My maternal grandfather was a coffee exporter, which gave me exposure to crop farming and the business side of agriculture. My paternal grandparents were livestock farmers, raising cows, goats, and pigs. Through them, I learned about animal husbandry, breeding, and pasture management.
