I'm looking to purchase 2 acres of tillable land and 5 acres total to have a permanent location for my flower farm.

My current lease in Alexander will be ending in late 2025 and I'm looking to purchase 5 acres (at least 2 tillable) for a permanent spot for my flower farm. I have an established customer base and ideally would like to stay within 30 minutes of Asheville.

In the last 5 years I have grown a successful small farm business selling at area farmers markets, through my Flower CSA, hosted educational workshops, and provided flowers and complete floral design services for weddings.

I have over 20 years experience in organic and sustainable commercial farming so I have the skills to establish infrastructure on raw land or can happily work with existing structures and systems.

Equipment and infrastructure details

Willing and able to build all infrastructure, but existing infrastructure (greenhouse, hoop house, well, cooler, fencing, and barn) or livable home would definitely be a bonus.

  • Sale (Cash or Mortgage)

Opportunity details

Looking to purchase approx. 5 acres (2 tillable). Can either be raw land or land with farm infrastructure and or a livable home.

  • Regenerative
  • Ecological production but not certified

Practices details

I will use all organic and sustainable methods in my future farming endeavors.

  • Flowers / Herbs

Goals details

I plan to continue the momentum of my farm business on my permanent site, which will include the organic cultivation of field crops as well as perennials.

Experience details

My formal training in agriculture was a certification in Ecological Horticulture from UC Santa Cruz in 2001. It provided a combination of classroom coursework and hands-on learning in all aspects of organic farming and gardening from a 10-acre tractor scale site to a smaller market garden size site. I continued on a second year as a teaching assistant who helped to manage the farm and train the next season's class.
