Seeking chemical-free farmland with water and infrastructure to lease or lease-to-own for an independent farm operation.

We are seeking farmland to lease or potentially lease-to-own for a small but growing farm business. Ideally, the land has been farmed previously using organic or regenerative practices, with no history of chemical fertilizers, pesticides, or herbicides. We are especially interested in properties that already have agricultural infrastructure in place, such as high tunnels, greenhouses, on-site water access, and existing or prior irrigation systems.

Our goal is to operate a fully autonomous, year-round farm focused on sustainable production for farmers markets and wholesale buyers. We value thoughtful land stewardship, long-term care of the soil, and a mutually beneficial relationship.

  • Farmer housing
  • Barn
  • Fencing
  • Greenhouse
  • Farm equipment
  • Processing facilities
  • Irrigation equipment
  • Cold storage (cooler/freezer)
  • Well / Pond / Other water source

Equipment and infrastructure details

We are looking for a property that offers a greenhouse and high tunnels to extend growing seasons and protect crops, a reliable well or water source with efficient irrigation, a cold storage and a dedicated wash station for safe, clean produce handling. We practice no-till methods whenever possible and only disturbing the soil only when absolutely necessary. While these resources support optimal production, our farm model is flexible and allows for effective workarounds when certain infrastructure is unavailable.

  • Lease (1 to 5 Years)
  • Lease w/Option to Buy
  • Incubator Program

Opportunity details

We are seeking an opportunity that provides access to land and basic infrastructure to grow Two Girls and a Field of Dreams into a regenerative, community-centered farm near Raleigh. We value autonomy in land stewardship and prefer property that is protected from wildlife that could damage crops. Our goal is to cultivate vegetables, flowers and herbs.

Practices details

We practice sustainable, chemical-free farming that nourishes the soil, supports biodiversity, and conserves water. Our methods include composting, crop rotation, and companion planting to grow healthy, flavorful food. We focus on ethical and transparent practices, engaging our community through on farm experiences and education. Continuously learning and innovating, we strive to create a regenerative farm that benefits people, pollinators, and the planet.

Goals details

At Two Girls and a Field of Dreams, we are committed to sustainable, regenerative farming that nurtures the land and our community. Our farming practices focus on organic, chemical-free methods, avoiding synthetic fertilizers and pesticides and instead relying on composting, crop rotation, companion planting, cover cropping, and minimal tillage to enrich the soil, retain water, and increase biodiversity.

Our production plan centers on a diverse mix of vegetables, herbs and flowers. We aim to create a farm that is not only productive but also a source of inspiration, nourishment, and community well-being.

Experience details

We come from a family where growing our own food was a way of life long before farming became a business. That foundation led me to co-own, operate, and manage a small backyard farm in Texas for five years. During that time, I oversaw production, soil care, and harvest planning, and sold produce through two farmers markets as well as to several wholesale buyers.

To deepen my skills, I completed Farmshare Austin’s six-month Farmer Starter Program and later participated in their year-long Cultivator Program. Farmshare Austin is a nonprofit organic farm, and these programs provided hands-on training in organic and regenerative growing practices, farm business management, and market operations.
