My wife and I grew up in the rural, agriculture-centered Midwest. We were exposed to, and involved in, various sorts of farming via family and friends. We moved down to NC for college, which is where we met. Now, we are in a place where we would like to start building something of our own, on a part-time basis to start. We admit our own shortcomings in terms of knowledge and experience, and welcome advice on starting. Our plan would be to find a small to mid-size plot of pasture and raise grass-fed beef. Hopefully some chickens as well. Financially we need to start small, but I am getting my MBA currently, and would explore expanding in the future.
