Seeking farmland in North Carolina to establish a small, sustainable farm growing figs, plums, and vegetables, with hone

I am an aspiring farmer with hands-on experience growing fruits and vegetables, raising livestock, and preserving farm produce on my family's farm. I am seeking land in North Carolina to establish a small, diversified farm focused on figs, plums, and seasonal vegetables. My plans include keeping honey bees for pollination and honey production, raising chickens for eggs, and potentially adding other farm animals. I aim to use sustainable farming practices that promote healthy soil, biodiversity, and responsible land management. My long-term goal is to create a productive farm with agritourism and educational opportunities that connect visitors with local agriculture.

Experience details

I grew up on a small family farm, where I gained hands-on agricultural experience working alongside my parents and grandparents. From an early age, I helped raise and care for livestock, including chickens, cows, goats, and sheep. I also participated in planting, growing, harvesting, and maintaining a variety of fruits and vegetables. My responsibilities included processing and preserving farm-grown produce through traditional canning methods. These experiences gave me a strong foundation in farming practices, animal care, food preservation, and sustainable agriculture, as well as a lifelong appreciation for farming.
