Seeking a long-term home with house and barns to care for a herd of goats and build a peaceful sanctuary.

My primary goal is to provide long-term care for a herd of goats while documenting their lives and supporting the mission through public education, donations, and related income sources.

  • Farmer housing
  • Barn
  • Fencing
  • Greenhouse
  • Farm equipment
  • Livestock facilities
  • Well / Pond / Other water source

Equipment and infrastructure details

I am seeking a farm with a private residence, reliable water, and existing infrastructure suitable for goats. Ideally, the property would include one or more barns or livestock shelters, secure fencing (or the ability to install it), separate areas for bucks and does, pasture combined with wooded browse, hay and feed storage, and year-round vehicle access. Existing goat facilities are a plus but not required. My goal is to establish a long-term, well-managed home where the goats can live safely while I care for them full-time and continue sharing their stories through educational outreach.

  • Sale (Cash or Mortgage)
  • Sale (Owner Financed)
  • Lease (5+ Years)
  • Lease w/Option to Buy

Opportunity details

I am most interested in a long-term arrangement that provides stability for both the animals and the land. My preference is a lease with option to buy or a long-term lease, but I am also open to owner financing or purchasing if the right opportunity arises. My priority is finding a property where I can establish a permanent, well-managed home for a herd of goats and be a responsible, long-term steward of the property.

  • Regenerative
  • Ecological production but not certified

Practices details

I am seeking a long-term farm where I can provide a safe, permanent home for a herd of goats while practicing thoughtful, ecological land stewardship. My approach emphasizes rotational grazing and browsing, responsible pasture management, and caring for both the animals and the land. I value healthy soils, biodiversity, and sustainable practices over intensive production. My goal is to create a place where the goats can thrive while sharing their stories to help people better understand their intelligence, individuality, and capacity for connection.

  • Sheep/Goat (Dairy / Meat)

Goals details

My goal is to establish a long-term home for a herd of goats while practicing responsible stewardship of the land. I plan to use rotational grazing and browsing where appropriate to maintain healthy pastures, reduce invasive vegetation, and support soil health. Animal welfare will be my highest priority, with careful daily observation, appropriate shelter, clean water, quality forage, and low-stress handling. I am seeking a property where I can responsibly care for the animals while maintaining the land for long-term agricultural use. My long-term goal is to build a sustainable operation that supports both the well-being of the goats and responsible stewardship of the property.

Experience details

B.S. in Biology. Seventeen years as a biochemistry research assistant at MIT. Over the past several years I have gained extensive hands-on experience caring for a large herd of goats, including daily observation, monitoring health and behavior, assisting during kidding season, recognizing illness and injury, and caring for vulnerable kids. My scientific background has strengthened my ability to carefully observe animals, recognize subtle changes in condition, and make thoughtful, welfare-focused decisions based on evidence and experience.
