We are an indoor hydroponic micro family farm.  We are looking for land we can live/grow on!

I own an urban farm and micro bakery in Winston-Salem. I grow/sell mushrooms, micros and sprouts and make salts and sauces, my wife bakes. I keep a small flock of chickens and ducks, and as many fruit trees/bushes we can shove into the yard. I would love to expand everything to have more farm offerings so that I can comfortably support my family year-round through the farming business. I am looking to start a generational legacy of farming and hope to pad down a family farm business to my children and their children! All organic and natural sustainable practices, I have always dreamed of having land to expand my flock and include other animals.

Practices details

Taking good care of any land I grow on, taking good care of any animals I raise, taking good care of any plants I grow. Sustainable/regenerative farming and has always been my goal. Teaching the next generations about good land stewardship.leaving the land better than when I found it, that’s the goal always.

Goals details

I would love to create edible landscapes, raise birds and small livestock sustainably, have the chance to learn in a hands-on scenario how to manage large acreage. Someone has to be the first generation farmer in order for someone to be the second, and I’d love to pioneer that for my family. My true goal is solar and completely off-grid sustainability but I would love the chance to learn while working and see how a totally equipped farm functions from all angles.

Experience details

I do not have any formal education. I have always kept a hobby/kitchen garden. I am a self-taught hydroponic grower and regenerative farmer. I love trying new methods of growing and ways to be sustainable. I make my own compost from wood chips from local companies, I used my spent mushroom bags and chicken manure to enrich my soil. Farming and cultivating the soil is truly my life’s greatest passion. I worked in corporate grocery store big box chain for 15 years prior to starting my own farming business.
